Putnam County School Enrichment Programs
Putnam County Extension is proud to offer a variety of school enrichment programs:
Toyota 4-H20 Water Quality
The Putnam County 4-H Program, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, and Mick Souter are pleased to be able to offer a water quality education program for students in your school. The program consists of a performance by Mick Souter, and four lessons pertaining to water quality that can be provided in classrooms. These lessons are designed for 3rd-5th graders, but can be adapted for any grade level. You’ve already scheduled your performance with Mick Souter, and I’d like to invite you to schedule one or more hands-on lessons that can take place in a classroom setting. I am happy to visit each classroom in your school that wishes to have any of these lessons.
West Virginia Know Your State (WVKYS)
The “West Virginia Know Your State” project to supplement your classroom curriculum. This is a great way to teach students about WV history and geography, as well as introduce 4-H to Putnam County students. Students enjoy seeing their work at the fair and the reward of their hard work is a ribbon and premium money.
